In 2014 contributed to the Military Service Recognition Book of the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command.
Since 2012, at the approach of the Christmas holidays, we organize a collection of goods and cash donations to help families in need.
In December 2013, many toys, a watch, a camera, a TV and a small freezer was distributed to seven families. We also raised $ 520 to purchase groceries for four families at christmas.
Since June 2012, Peter D. Stewart has served on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity-Prince Edward Hastings. He is currently the Vice-Chair.
The mission of Habitat for Humanity Canada, is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable homes and promoting home ownership as means to breaking the cycle of poverty.
Since 1994, the Prince Edward Hasting affiliate has built 16 houses. In 2015, it plans to build three others.
